Eliminate the federal reserve?

retweet
  Tags: politics   finance   federal reserve

Background

Should we eliminate the federal reserve from government?

Arguments For

Yes, the Fed should be eliminated

The Fed is a for-profit company

The Commerce Depart report shows the Fed earned money at a $46 billion annual rate in the second quarter.[1] This company should not be granted such exclusive privileges into government monetary policy.

Arguments Against

No, the Fed should remain

The federal reserve protects against inflation and other monetary issues.
